Hi, I’m Seb, the new Community Activator for Morden Library of Things!
A little about me: I have long been inspired by the sharing and environmental ideals behind the Library of Things and jumped at the chance to get involved!
I love that such a simple idea can have such a big impact!
I’m passionate about gardening and have been heavily involved in food growing at Morden Hall Park’s community kitchen garden. I also volunteer at Sustainable Merton’s Community Fridge. It’s been great to link the two projects and begin supplying vegetables to local families in need.
I think Morden Library of Things is a wonderful addition arriving soon on the Merton scene and something worth rallying around. In difficult times there’s something exhilarating - and an air of future promise - in its arrival. Imagine borrowing a power tool for a home improvement, a pop up gazebo for a street party, or a projector for a creative project, all in the knowledge that you’re supporting a bigger picture of empowerment and community sharing!
Borrowing instead of buying also saves money, ends storage headaches, reduces waste and carbon footprint, AND connects you to an awesome borrowing community!
Thank you for the amazing support so far!
