About The Event

Sustainable Merton is proud to host a panel of experts and grassroots community members working to reduce waste, and build a circular and sharing economy 🌟 SEE BIOS BELOW 🌟

Throwaway culture, over consumption, litter, pollution, nature depletion, and planned obsolescence are all factors of one issue that connect every area of work at Sustainable Merton - Waste. Our Community Fridge fights food waste and food insecurity. Merton Garden Streets and community Growing Spaces teach green skills around low waste growing, such as composting and food sharing within communities. The Wheel, Sustainable Merton's waste reduction and circular economy project, signposts to innovate, sustainable solutions right here in Merton, nurtures the green skills of repair and upcycling, and promotes circular start-up businesses. And the Waste Champions leading our We R Pollards project are reducing waste by improving recycling rates and encouraging positive behaviour change on Pollards Hill Estate.
