Growing Vegetables in a Small Space

Growing fruit and vegetables in an urban setting is not always easy, especially if you don't have access to a garden or an allotment. This workshop will demonstrate how you can grow your own food in small spaces - a balcony or in just a few pots by the front door. You will learn about the best veg and herbs to grow in containers, what to consider when looking after them and why even small gardens can have a positive impact on wildlife and biodiversity.

During the workshop you’ll sow some veg to take home for your container garden. The workshop will last from 10.30am-11.30am and will be followed by an optional tour of the Orchard.

The session will take place in a small group and outside, so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
